O joy of the justified! joy of the free!
I’ll sing of my Saviour, who died on the tree!
Thro’ Christ my Redeemer rejoicing I stand,
Being sav’d by His grace, and secure in His hand.
O Jesus the crucified, Saviour divine!
Though once a lost sinner, yet now I am Thine;
In conscious salvation, I sing of Thy grace,
While there resteth upon me the smile of Thy face.
O Jesus, my Saviour, I’ll still sing of Thee
Yes, sing of Thy blood, precious, poured out for me
And when in the mansions of glory above,
I will praise and adore Thy unchangeable love!
O thou who art guilty and wretched within,
Who feelest the burden and sorrow of sin,
Now look unto Jesus, however distrest:
It is He who invites thee, O come, and be blest!
