O Lord! ’tis joy to look above,
And see Thee on the throne,
To search the heights and depths of love
Which Thou to us hast shown.
To look beyond the long dark night,
And hail the coming day,
When, Thou to all Thy saints in light,
Thy glories wilt display.
And, oh! ’tis joy the path to trace
By Thee so meekly trod;
Learning of Thee to walk in grace,
And fellowship with God!
Joy to confess Thy blessed name,
The virtue of Thy blood,
And to the wearied heart proclaim,
Behold the Lamb of God!
