Thy love I know-
Remember thy cross and passion
Of long ago!

Jesus, Thy love unchanging-
That love of yore-
Shall be all my song and gladness
For evermore!

‘Twas, on the cross, not deeper,
Than now ’tis deep-
In innermost heaven not sweet
Than whilst I weep!

‘Tis that same love now bears me
O’er starless deeps,
And never, through the long night watch-
Slumbers nor sleep!

Jesus, the One unchanging!
How passing sweet,
When I shall arise with singing,
Thyself to meet!
