Question:
What should we do if we realize that we are living for our own interests instead of for the One Who loved us and gave Himself for us?

Answer:
Confess our selfishness to the Lord (1 John 1:9). Ask Him to search us and reveal to us any wicked way we have, and lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23, 24).

God has a plan for us to “consider” for our “ways” in the future. He wants us to go up to the mountain and get wood to build the house of the Lord (Haggai 1:7, 8). We must go up to Mount Calvary to get material to build God’s house. This is why He wants us to remember Him in His death each Lord’s day. If we are telling God about Christ, we will then be able to tell the world about Christ.He promises to guide us (Psalm 32:8). If our eye is on Him, we will desire to do all to His glory (Colossians 3:17, 23).
