Answer:
We rejoice first of all when we know our “names are written in heaven” (Luke 10:20). It is easier to rejoice when you’re not worried about something. If you’re not saved you can’t rejoice because you don’t have peace. Peace is needed for us to rejoice. “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). Isaiah said, there is no peace for the wicked (Isaiah 57:21).
