Answer:
The word pastor is a synonym of the word shepherd, who spends a lot of time on his knees with the sheep. The words pastors and shepherds are used interchangeably in Jeremiah 23:1-4. Each and every sheep is important to the shepherd, and the work of the shepherd is to do good for the sheep.

The Good Shepherd is the Lord Himself who gave His life for the sheep (John 10:11), and the Lord wants us to follow Him by loving His sheep. We should all have the heart of the Shepherd for one another so that we can encourage one another. We should be examples for the younger ones. We need to have the heart of the Saviour, and love each other enough to even sometimes lovingly correct one another (1 Timothy 5:1).
