Question:

Why was God sorry He made Saul king?

“The Lord repented that He had made Saul king over Israel” (1 Samuel 15:35).

Repent means to change one’s mind.  God is all knowing.  God does not repent in that He changes His mind but was sorrowful that Israel wanted a king.  He was sorry that sin was in the world.
