Should girls take part in the young people’s meetings?

Question:

In 1 Corinthians 14:34 it says, “Let your women keep silent in the churches (NKJV),” and in 1 Timothy 2:11,12 it says they are to “learn in silence.” So should girls be taking part in young people’s meetings?

Answer:
Yes, because we need to learn and understand more and we don’t have husbands to go and talk to. While some of us may have fathers to go to, what it says in 1 Corinthians 14:35 is, “If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church (NIV).” The Young People’s Meetings aren’t really ‘the church’ and they’re there for us to ask questions about topics or different things that we don’t understand so that is why I would have to say, “Yes.”
