Question:
Since God knows everything, why did He allow sin to enter the world?
Answer:
Sin was allowed in the world to provide a real choice for men to choose God or Satan and heaven or hell. A brother brought Romans 5:12-21 to the attention of the group. If we think it is unfair to charge Adam’s sin to us, then it would likewise be unfair for Christ to be punished for our sins. Sin provided an opportunity for God to demonstrate His grace; however, it would be going beyond Scripture to say that God purposely allowed sin in order to demonstrate His grace. Notice the repetition of the phrase “much more” in this passage (verses 15, 17, 20). Before the Fall, Adam and Eve could not have known God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness, or the fullness of His love.
